Coach Lori - Lori is the founder and owner of Maine Stars Cheer Gym. Coach Lori was a cheerleader at Marshwood High School and the University of Southern Maine. She has been teaching 5th graders at Marshwood for over 20 years. Before Maine Stars, Lori was the coach at Marshwood High School for a combined total of 14 years. During this time Marshwood won 4 "Class B" and 1 "Class A" State Championships.
From 1996-1999, Coach Lori took girls from Maine and NH to all star competitions up and down the east coast. This team was known as the Seacoast Sparklers. Then in 2000 Maine Stars was born. Coach Lori now has over 20 years of coaching experince. She has also judged in the states of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Over the years the gym has grown from two teams to six; five competitive and one non-competitive local team. The gym has won numerous national championships from Massachusetts to California. No matter how big the gym grows, Coach Lori knows each and every girl who walks through the door. She cares about each of them beyond their abilities as an athlete, and she has a special connection with many girls in the Maine Stars community. More than half of the Maine Stars staff has cheered for Lori in the past. This proves her ability to mold young girls into caring, passionate, hard-working, loyal woman.
Coach Becky - Becky has had 20+ years of experience in the cheerleading industry. As a former state champion and high school All-American, Rebecca was asked to work as an instructor for the NCA based in Dallas, Texas. There she earned such accolades as Top Rookie Instructor and Top 25 Instructors of the Year. Becky was quickly asked to become a head instructor for the company. Rebecca began judging national and local competitions, as well as choreographing high school competition cheerleading routines across the nation. While attending the University of Maine, Becky was a two time Collegiate All-American.
Over the years she re-united with her former high school coach to launch the Maine Stars Cheer Gym. Maine Stars opened their current facility in 2003. Coach Becky worked to develop the gyms cheer and tumbling programs. She currently mixes music and does choreography for Maine Stars teams. Her teams have won national championships and her music has received special recognition. Coach Becky is so enthusiastic about her Maine Stars Cheerleaders. She's a hard-working, passionate, caring woman - who loves to keep in touch with her cheerleaders new and old.
Coach Erica - Coach Erica is a former cheerleader at Marshwood High School. Under the instruction of Coach Lori, Erica won a Class A State Championship in 2001. Erica attended the University of Maine and is currently a Registered Dietitian in New Hampshire. Coach Erica is NCA, AACCA, CPR and Sports First-Aid certified.
This is Coach Erica's 5th year as the Marshwood Middle School Competition Cheerleading Coach and her 4th season at Maine Stars. Coach Erica also does choreography for her Maine Stars teams, middle school and high school competition cheerleading teams in the local area. Erica co-coaches the Junior team with her sister Coach Ashley and is very excited to coach an additional Junior team this season with Coach Becky. Erica also co-coaches the Local Exhibition team with Lisa. Coach Erica is also the contact person for Maine Stars cheer gym; answering parent emails, helping with student accounts, updating the website and sending out reminders throughout the season. Her teams have won Regional and National Championships. Erica loves her young athletes enthusiasm and passion for cheering. She can't wait for another fun-filled season.
Coach Ashley - Coach Ashley is a former cheerleader at Marshwood High School. Under the instruction of Coach Lori, Ashley won a Class A State Championship in 2001. Ashley attended Bentley College and is currently working for a large business firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is Coach Ashley's 2nd year coaching the Junior team with her sister Coach Erica. She can't wait for all the new things 2011 has to offer her Junior team.
Coach Tony - Tony gained his gymnastics experience competing atGlenbard North High School in Illinois Woodbridge , Virginia
Coach Lisa - Lisa is a former Marshwood High School Cheerleader. She was the recipient of a Maine State Championship title while cheering for Coach Lori. She attended Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Lisa has a gymnastics background and has coached tumbling classes at New England Sports Academy in Madbury, New Hampshire.
This is Coach Lisa's 1st year coaching the Local Exhibition team with Coach Erica. She loves all the girls and has so much fun teaching them new choreography.
Coach Simone - Simone is a former Marshwood and Maine Stars Cheerleader. Simone is passionate about cheerleading and loves working with the tumbling students, encouraging them to meet their goals and work hard. This is Simone's second year working at Maine Stars.

This is Coach Tony’s fourth season helping with the tumbling programs at Maine Stars. He loves the opportunity to work with these wonderful young athletes. He hopes that his focus on tumbling fundamentals will teach them as much as he continues to learn from them, and their coaches, about this amazing sport of cheerleading.
Coach Lisa - Lisa is a former Marshwood High School Cheerleader. She was the recipient of a Maine State Championship title while cheering for Coach Lori.
